dan pemenangnya ialah....

maafkan cik ayu... ni lah manusia kan, senang lupa.. mati2 cik ayu ingat tarikh tutup contest tu ari ni, 31st may.. (pasal cik ayu slalu set closing date every end of the month). rupa2nya 29th may.. ishhh..

kepada yg dok melawat blog ni nak tgk result maaf le ek.. cik ayu lupa sesangat.. kite anggap le tarikh tutup tu di'extend' senyap2.. hehe..

ini snap shot sebelum cik ayu cabut no. tinggal nak tekan 'get numbers' tu jek. tunggu lg beberapa minit nak kul 12 tgh mlm nih..
dan tepat kul 12 tgh mlm (ikut jam pc cik ayu.. hehe), cik ayu pon tekan la itu button.. dan pemenangnya ialah...

cookies utk pertmuffin =)

order ni dr pertmuffin.. hehe.. malu nak jual cookies ngan org2 yg dah terer baking nih.. sampai nerves2 rasanya.. haha..
pertmuffin nak cookies 40pcs.. tp cik ayu sgt2 tak sempat, hanya mampu buatkan 30pcs saja.. sori sesangat.. design? katanya yg simple2 and cute. apa yg terlintas dlm kepala cik ayu, nak lukis 5 petals daisy atas cookies nye nanti.. so, these are the cookies. sgt2 harap pertmuffin berpuas hati. to pertmuffin, hepi belated birthday ya!

nampak tak outline petals tu mcm berkilat2? cik ayu mekap guna coloured sanding sugar.

p/s: hmm.. actually, cik ayu kurang berpuas hati dgn my colour choice.. should have chose more vibrant colour instead of yellow. *sigh*

icing recipe which i lo0oove!

ini resipi icing yg sgt cik ayu suka..kenapa? sbb sgt2 senang nak buat.. in 5 minutes aje dah siap? am i exaggerating the facts? you'll see.. hehe..

Amanda's Awesome Icing
1 cup Confectioners Sugar (powder Sugar)
1 Tablespoon Milk
1 drop Lemon Juice (fresh Or Processed)
1 Tablespoon Light Corn Syrup (i used glucose syrup)

Combine powder sugar, corn syrup, and lemon juice in a bowl.
******This next step is important!******If you need a thicker frosting, say for outlining your cookies, add LESS milk. Just a drop at a time.

If you have already outlined your cookies and need a to fill in or ’spill’ your cookies, you can add more milk (as much as you would need) to make your frosting very runny.

If you are using food coloring, be sure to use LESS milk. Most food colorings are liquid and can make your frosting more runny. If you are using a gel food coloring, your milk quantity can remain the same.

If you want to add different flavors, you can add drops of vanilla extract, almond extract, lemon, etc. to flavor your frosting.

If you want more SHINE, use more corn syrup and less milk. This frosting will stay good for days in the fridge.

cookies lolly sample in the previous entry is for duan's wedding favor. hari ni cik ayu buat cookies sample for atia's engagement. this cookies will be one of her 'hantaran' i think.
atia request for fancy cookies decorated with fondant. theme colour - pink! shades of pink and white katanya.

bile tgk blog atia kat sini... hati cik ayu cakap "waaa... semangat sungguh adik ni buat preparation, i must not let her down".. rasa sedikit honoured sbb diangkat sbg baker utk cookies atia, walaupon maybe sbb i offered the best quotation.. hehehe.. so atia, here are your cookies sample.. really hope you'll like it! =)

hari ni cik ayu buat cookies lolly! one of my customer request for cookies lolly sample. so pg2 cik ayu dah start buat.. buat cookies lolly ni perlukan bnyk kesabaran.. kesabaran cik ayu, dan kesabaran hubby (pasal dok tension tgk cik ayu masuk dapur berjam2 tak kluar2.. hehehe..).
benda2 mcm ni mengingatkan cik ayu kat rancangan 'party planner with david tutera'.. suke gile tgk rancangan tu.. hehe..

for duan.. hope either one of the design suits you! =) o ya! i will upload the cookies lolly tutorial utk kengkawan semua nanti ya!

marshmallow flower topper

seperti yg dijanjikan, cik ayu akan share camne nak buat marshmallow flower topper. marshmallow flower topper ni boleh digunakan utk deco cupcakes (mcm cik ayu buat kat sini...) dan juga kek anda!

1. ini barang2 yg kite perlukan: marshmallow bentuk bunga, toothpick, riben, tape hijau (yg mcm org guna utk buat bunga telur tu) dan gunting.

2. mula2 balut toothpick dgn tape hijau.

3. lepas tu, cucuk marshmallow pd toothpick td.4. kemudian buat bentuk daun menggunakan tape hijau dan lekatkan pd 'tangkai' bunga marshmallow td. dan ini hasilnya! p/s: boleh ikat riben kat bawah bunga tu kalau mahu ya!

ini pula mcm mana cik ayu deco cupcakes dgn 'rumput2'.

1. 'icing'kan cupcake dgn chocolate ganache. tak rata pon takpe sbb nak bg nampak effect mcm tanah.

2. dgn menggunakan icing tip no. 233 dr wilton, 'icing'kan buttercream berwarna hijau di atas choc ganache td. pegang piping bag dgn icing tip 90darjah di atas cupcake, kemudian tekan piping bag dan tarik icing tip ke atas. (aisehhh... lupa plak nak snap gambar masa 'pipe'kan 'rumput' ni... harap2 blh paham la ye penerangan cik ayu ni.) dan ini hasilnya!

p/s: kemudian, blh taburkan bunga2 icing yg kecil dan letakkan marshmallow flower topper di tengah2 cupcake anda!

ok.. ini repeat order dr sis 'aqilah.. kali tak adhoc ye dik.. hehe... she requested for chocolate moist cake with chocolate ganache. and if the request came from 'aqilah, sudah semestinya kena COLOURFUL! hehe.. 'aqilah nak colourful chocolate rice on top, tp kakak ada sprinkle ni je dik yg colourful.. tp rasanya comel jugak ni.. =) o ya! the tag tu cik ayu tambah, sbb nak bg nampak lg cute.. hehe..

i bought these cookie cutters last weekend. cik ayu beli ni utk buat cookies for atia and ina engagement day in june.. they both request for cookies bentuk hati. nampak cutters ni sgt comel.. dan seperti biasa, cik ayu can't resist the temptation (pantang tgk benda comel) dan sekaligus menambah koleksi cookie cutters cik ayu yg sedia ada.

it's my birthday!

hari ni genap umur saya.. tuuuuttt.. haha.. 31 thn ye kawan2.. jap je kan rasanya..
beberapa hari yg lalu cik ayu hantar sms kat en. suami.."hubby, takyah beli kek ya..".. hahahaha... ikut la en. suami nak paham ke tak..
bukan ape, this year cik ayu nak buat birthay cake sendiri.. ni lepas tgk kek edina kat sini... tersgt la tempting skali kek itu.. so pg td lepas breakfast bermula la misi buat kek ni.. Devil's Food Chocolate Cake. honestly, this is a highly recommended chocolate cake recipe!

kek yg baru keluar dr oven cik ayu

skang kite letak cream cheese frosting yg nyum.. nyum.. itu.

ok.. skang mekap ngan chocolate ganache plak.. then lots and lots of strawberries!

indescribable taste.. it's sooo delicious

ok.. ini resepinya.. cik ayu copy n paste dr edina's blog.

Devil's Food Chocolate Cake

1 cup all purpose flour (tepung gandum biasa)

1/4 cup cocoa powder

3/4 teaspoon bicarbonate soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

65 gram butter

1 large egg - size A (i used 2eggs, size C)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup buttermilk (homemade: 1/4 cup milk added with a few drops of distilled vinegar (cuka biasa), leave to rest for about 20 minutes

1/2 cup warm water

Methods:

Set your oven at 170C (i set mine at 160C)

Prepare your cake tins.

Sieve flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate soda, salt, and set aside.

Beat butter with sugars until light and fluffy, add eggs.

When all well incorporated add the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder etc) and alternate with liquid ingredients (buttermilk + warm water) in three portions, last incorporate the vanilla extract.

Bake for about 30 minutes or until just cooked

Cream Cheese Frosting

250 g Philly cheese (i made only half-125g)

125 g butter (i use about 60g)1 cup icing sugar (i used 1/2 cup)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

juice of a squeezed slice of lemon

Beat the cheese and butter, just until creamy, add the icing sugar, vanilla and lemon juice.

Chocolate Ganache

200 ml double cream with at least 30% fat content

250 g dark chocolate, chopped finely

a pinch of salt

In a double boiler, warm the cream until just at boiling point, add the chocolate and salt and stir, when all chocolate is melted, remove from the heat and continue stirring until all well mixed.

Wait for the cake to cool completely, spread the cream cheese frosting and pour the ganache on top.

  1. salah seorang 'mangsa' masa 1998 economy recession dulu - disebabkan ni cik ayu tak dpt study abroad.. isk.. isk..
  2. studied engineering for 5++ years, tp x pernah minat engineering.. huhu
  3. currently is an engineer tp my passion is always benda seni2 ni... (jgn bgtau my boss ok!)
  4. the only girl in the family right now - my youngest sister passed away when she was 15 *al-fatihah*
  5. i'm into cupcakes about 1 and a half years ago... (tp tenggelam timbul.. hehe..)
  6. 'ayu' is not my 'real' name as in my birth certificate. tp my family, relatives, org kg - kat mersing nuuu... , kawan2 rapat (sek. menengah, uni) sume panggil saya dgn nama ni.. dan perkataan 'cik' kat dpn tu does not represent my status, i'm married ya! haha.. tp nickname 'cik ayu' ni adalah nickname yg saya guna masa zaman bujang dulu utk mIRC (wujud lg ke benda ni?) hehe...
  7. married to my classmate masa form 2 dulu.. hehe

skarang kite buat bunga :)

salam semua pembaca CupcakesChek,

hari ini kite akan belajar mcm mana nak guna flower veiner, seperti yg saya janjikan dulu. (lina..entry ni spesel utk awak.. hehe).

1. ini barang2 yg kite perlukan: fondant, pewarna, rolling pin, stokin ajaib saya (hehe.. stokin berisi tepung jagung ya), acuan bunga (5 petal) dan flower veiner.

2. mula2 warnakan fondant anda. saya gunakan kaler violet dr wilton (comotnye la botol kaler cik ayu kan.. hehe).

3. kemudian canaikan fondant dan terap acuan bunga di atas fondant.

4. 'dust'kan sedikit tepung jagung pd flower veiner, dua2 belah skali ok! ini utk elakkan dr fondant melekat pd flower veiner. kemudian letakkan fondant yg telah diterap td di atas flower veiner. adjust kedudukannya supaya petal bunga tu selari.

5. tekan bhgn atas flower veiner ke atas fondant td. jgn terlalu kuat ya, nanti fondant akan jd terlalu nipis, ia akan melekat pd flower veiner dan susah pula utk di'handle' nanti.

6. dgn berhati2 keluarkan bunga yg telah di'vein'kan (ada ke perkataan ni? hehe..) td dan letakkan di atas permukaan yg blh mengekalkan bentuknya sehingga ia kering dgn sempurna. saya letakkan di atas sarang telur :) dan inilah hasilnya!
